Motel Days Inn by Wyndham Ontario Airport (Ontario, USA)

Rooms are impressively clean and beds are comfortable. Air conditioning is a bit noisy, but not excessively so; certainly not enough to spoil a good night's sleep.

Bearing in mind that this is a 'budget' hotel, there are bonuses here that aren't always evident at more expensive places. Proper pillows are here instead of those flat, uncomfortable imitations. The curtains really do block out the light and staff will supply extra towels on request and without hassle.

It's only a few miles from the airport, so that's an obvious advantage. Eating out couldn't be easier with Denny's right next door. Also nearby are Kmart, Walgreen and a shopping mall for all those essentials.

Certainly, the area couldn't be described as being up market and it's not the ideal setting for a hotel. There are some very dubious folk hanging out of balconies and lurking around generally. There's also that familiar smell of weed and other substances throughout.

There's no maintenance program, so, eventually there's a trail of things that don't work. Consequently a number of lights are kaput. Either they have fizzled out or they simply need a replacement bulb fitment. Water pressure isn't good so don't look forward too much to that shower! Also, it's best to forget about the internet as the unreliable WiFi signal will only lead to more frustration.

He/she must have retired ages ago and not been replaced! The hairdryer has many months of accumulated filth, carpets are greasy and grotty and why would a non-smoking room smell of weed, wee and smoke?!
