Anthony's on the Beach is a basic style, two star hotel. It is located on Tables Beach; 3 miles along the coast road from the centre of Florida’s popular Cocoa Beach. Basic rooms at Anthony’s on The Beach have a private bathroom, Wi-Fi, mini refrigerator, microwave and flat screen colour TV with HBO channels. Suites with two bedrooms also include a kitchen and dining area. In addition to a communal veranda with sea views, guests enjoy free parking, complimentary coffee and the use of vending machines. Reception is available at all times. Melo’s Italian and Taco City restaurants are in the close vicinity and Minutemen and Circle K are two of a number of nearby convenience stores. Anthony’s has direct access to the beach and is just off Highway A1A. Patrick Air Force Base is 2.5 miles away and it’s an 11.4 mile trip to Port Canaveral Cruise Terminal.
Rooms are clean; so is the kitchen area, plus it's well equipped. Beds are comfortable, so all in all, it's much better than anticipated.Shops and restaurants are nearby and parking here is free. It's really quiet and relaxing here. You can build up some energy and walk to the much busier Cocoa Beach area but, why bother, when everything's 'on tap', but without the crowds!
Quite often, places advertise sea views and you find they are a long way from the beach. No problems here; Anthony's really on the beach. Step outside and there it is!
Hosts are really friendly and combined with the place itself, you'll soon feel at home here.
Old stuff is OK if it's well maintained. Here, though, things are beginning to fall apart. Wi-Fi doesn't work everywhere, light switches are temperamental as are the TVs which can have a worrying habit of turning themselves back on. You'd hope for a pool in a place like this, but maybe that's being 'picky' with the sea just outside.
Being on the beach, you expect sand to get inside the room, but it shouldn't be there when you check in! So, floors aren't cleaned and neither are the showers. Not a good start.
Something's really annoyed these blighters. There are millions of them and they all seem to target 'you'. There's no escaping them inside; they get in there too.
