About The Stag
Situated on Moffat High Street, The Stag is a family-run pub with nine letting rooms and free parking. The property is easily accessible from the A74 and places guests ten miles southwest of Grey Mare’s Tail Nature Reserve.
Rooms feature en-suite or private bathrooms with complimentary toiletries, along with amenities such as a TV, free Wi-Fi and coffee/tea makers.
Guests can relax in the lounge or enjoy a drink on the terrace or in the beer garden. Plus, there’s a game room with a pool table, dartboard and jukebox. The rooms are smoke free but a designated smoking area is available. Children are welcome and pets are allowed for a fee.

The Stag lies 22 miles from Thomas Carlyle’s Birthplace, 45 minutes from Carlisle and an hour away from Glasgow.
