Positive Reviews
positive:
Picturesque, Serene Locale
The ambience is lovely here with idyllic river and garden views, as well as a cosy fireplace lit beside the lobby entrance. The restaurant is quite popular with the menu offering favourites like roast duck (which you'll often see roasting on spits turning over the fire in the guest lounge), sole, asparagus and smoked salmon. Breakfast is served either in your room or in the dining room. The overall atmosphere is relaxed, free parking is just across from the venue and staff can assist with your bags either up or down the steps upon request.
positive:
Spacious Rooms
Large, cosy rooms with generous bathrooms, air conditioning, safes and flat screen televisions tick all the boxes. The views over the river or gardens are the best part, with the separate suites being most impressive.
positive:
Charming Staff
Friendly and polite staff will make sure you're comfortable and are ready to help out with whatever you may need.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Weak Wi-Fi
Some may experience Wi-Fi issues and staff may not be too concerned. Check out your alternatives in advance if this is essential to your stay.
negative:
Overpriced Eats & Drinks
Although well-presented and tasty, some felt the prices did not match the average quality food and beverages served.

Needs an Overall Refurb
You may feel you've entered the 1960's when arriving at this locale. Areas most in need of a sprucing include carpeting, wallpaper, upholstery, window sealing, smallish/uncomfortable mattresses, hard pillows, weak air conditioning units and old radiators. The hot water takes forever to warm up as well.
