Hotel St. Helene (New Orleans, USA)

The staff at St Helene are friendly and helpful. They are always happy to hold bags for guests wishing to explore the area after check-out and recommend places to visit and dine out.

While just steps from the hustle and bustle of the French Quarter; with Jackson Square, the French Market and Bourbon Street within easy reach, the hotel is tucked away in a quiet spot. Guests can enjoy a peaceful location while being within walking distance of everything.

The hotel is charming, with a modern interior combined with the character features that come from its restored French Quarter building setting. Many of the suites enjoy views of the area from their balconies- with wrought-iron fronts.

The rooms, while modern and kept well, may be a little smaller than you are used to. Some, particularly those on higher floors, have suggested that they can feel a little stuffy at times.

There is no elevator in the hotel and, as it is set across several floors with many stairs, it may be unsuitable for those with mobility problems. There are, however, some ground floor rooms which face onto the courtyard, if available.

Unfortunately, the hotel does not have private parking. There is a loading zone directly outside where guests can unload their luggage, and two public car parks nearby, but some guests have experienced issues getting a space during busy periods, and it is not cheap.
