Breakfast is to-die-for
If you're someone who gets excited about the most important meal of the day then you'll absolutely love staying here. Along with a sideboard stocked full of cereals, fruit juices, yoghurts, prunes and fresh fruit, Southcroft offers exemplary cooked-to-order items like sausages, mushrooms, beans and bacon, as well as breakfast eggs any which way you want them (fried, scrambled, poached or boiled). On top of this, you also have the option of smoked haddock. Don't leave without trying some of the proprietors' delicious homemade jams, marmalade and - most days - freshly made bread. Utterly delicious!

Location is spot on
The hotel's setting on a quiet residential road just yards from the seafront ensures you get plenty of peace and quiet alongside the convenience of being able to trot down to the beach and promenade whenever the mood takes you. However, just because it's quiet doesn't mean it's isolated - the centre of Eastbourne can be easily reached via a very pleasant ten-minute walk along the front.
positive:
Hospitality is top-notch
Everything from thick fluffy towels and complimentary water in the rooms to a pot of tea and cherry cake on arrival shows that the Southcroft's owners know exactly how to engender a tangible ‘home-from-home' vibe throughout their property. Excellent hospitality standards all-round here.
