About Hôtel Le Canberra
Le Canberra four-star, 1950s inspired boutique hotel located in the centre of Cannes and just a 5-minute walk from the beach.
All rooms are individually furnished and include air conditioning, soundproofed windows, blackout curtains, free Wi-Fi, satellite TV, minibar, en suite bathrooms a bathtub or shower and a rainfall shower head.
The hotel offers 24-hour front desk reception and a 24-hour business centre. Tours/ticket assistance, concierge services, a heated outdoor pool, sunbathing terrace and garden, steam room and fitness centre.
A buffet breakfast is offered each morning for an additional cost. A lounge bar is open 24-hours a day and the restaurant, Le Café Blanc, which serves traditional Mediterranean cuisine is open for lunch and dinner.
The Palais des Festivals and La Croisette are both within a 20-minute walk of Le Canberra. The beach is 5-minutes’ walk away.

Central location to town and beach.
Le Canberra is centrally located with the main shopping area, restaurants and night life areas being in close proximity. The closest beach is just a 5-minute walk away. Cannes train station is also a quick 8-minutes walk away. Attractions such as the Promenade de la Croisette, La Croisette and Palais des Festivals et des Congrès, which hosts the annual Cannes Film Festival Palais are also within easy walking distance.

The rooms are individually decorated with 1950s inspired decor which which many guests found to be charming and filled with character. The rooms were also found to be spacious, well presented and comfortable.

Many guests found the outdoor swimming pool and sun deck to be clean and the surrounding gardens beautifully maintained. It’s also a quiet and relaxing area to sit and sunbath, have a drink or lay on the lounge chairs and read a book.

Room for improvement.
Many guests were disappointed that tea and coffee making facilities were not provided in the rooms, which can generally be expected in a four-star hotel. Some guests also complained that the carpets were dirty and worn, and the bathroom had poor lighting which made it inconvenient for putting on makeup.

While most guests found the staff to be friendly and helpful, there were a few incidences in which the service was found to be wanting. Some guests experienced the staff at reception as well as the restaurant and bar to be disinterested and lacking warmth in their interactions with guests.
