The Goldener Anker or Golden Anchor in Bodenwerder has been owned by the same family since 1837. For the past 7 generations guests have been treated traditionally well, whether wealthy, not so wealthy, famour or unknown. This is still reflected in the stories of the people again, drinking their beer after work here. So the history of the Golden Anchor originates probably a fable: GrandGrandGranpa found a 104-kg gold anchor while fishing, but it probably got lost when Russian soldiers of Napoleon's army were trying to cross the River Weser. The bridge was first build 1898. But let's talk facts and figures.
