About Budapest Budget
The Budapest Budget hostel offers basic accommodation in a restored Unicum factory building, less than ten minutes’ walk from the Trafó House of Contemporary Art, Corvin Plaza, the Danube River and Boráros Tér’s train, bus, ferry and tram connections. The hostel is within 1.6 miles of the Hungarian National Museum, Corvinus University of Budapest and the Budapest Citadel fortress on Gellért Hill.
Private rooms with up to five beds, as well as four and six-bed dormitories are available, all of which have free Wi-Fi access and all bed linen provided.
The hostel has a 24-hour reception with a safe and luggage room, several guest computers, lockers, a coffee machine, a terrace, and kitchens on each floor.
Hungarian buffet breakfasts are available on-site and the hostel is a short walk away from Hungarian and international dining.
Budapest Budget is just over ten minutes’ drive away from Budapest-Keleti Station.

Value for money, warm, clean, well-equipped.
Those who stayed at Budapest Budget reported finding warm and clean basic facilities, good value for money, comfortable beds and said that it was very secure and quiet. On top of this, the kitchen facilities were thought to be truly well equipped and the Wi-Fi is apparently rather good.

Guests said they experienced service from a lovely, friendly staff members, who were happy to help out wherever possible and were on hand to help 24 hours a day. Furthermore, they are said to have great English and assisted with things like booking tours and activities, including thermal baths tickets.

The hostel is said to be located in a nice neighbourhood, with a great selection of public transport and dining options available nearby and many of Budapest’s attractions reachable on foot, including the Danube. Having said this, a small number of guests did mention that they would have liked to have been a bit more centrally located.

Security doors and a few smells.
Rooms at Budapest Budget were occasionally reported to have funny smells, which could come down to previous guests who have smoked, contrary to the ban. On top of this, the array of security doors to swipe through was found to be a little bit annoying to a small number of people.
