This hotel is ideally situated in the middle of Thame on the High Street, near to plenty of good shopping and pubs to relax in.

Rooms are pleasant and create a warm and inviting atmosphere. You'll find your accommodations to be clean and tidy. Ask for a garden room, as they are the nicest on the property. Suites in general are much more spacious and worth the upgrade.

The staff of this old-world hotel are polite and helpful. They are attentive without being overbearing which guests find refreshing. The receptionist is always happy and endeavors to do whatever necessary to ensure a wonderful stay for guests.

Be aware that if you're staying in a room that faces the front of the hotel, you're likely to hear street noise and noise from the bar across the street. You may wish to bring a set of earplugs to help with falling asleep.

The restaurant space is quite small and breakfast is an additional charge which many guests say is not worth it. Guests describe the meal as tasteless, with some items not cooked thoroughly and other items cold when they should be hot.

Guests say the afternoon tea service is not worth the price you pay. Portions are small and not very tasty. The food did not appear to guests to be homemade as advertised, and the presentation overall was quite poor.
