Very comprehensive breakfast menu.
The breakfast range at St John’s Lodge has to be seen to be believed! The number of options on offer, as well as the range of menus catering for different dietary options, has impressed guests. However, and most important of all, the breakfast is described as being really delicious.

positive:
Great location for exploring.
You cannot fault the location of St John’s Lodge. It is only a short walk from Bowness-On-Windermere, making a trip into town for a look round the shops or to grab a bite to eat something of a doddle. Other popular tourist towns are within easy driving distance too.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Creaky stairs.
St John’s Lodge is housed in an old building, and as such it has some of the little issues you would expect from an aged property. One such thing is the creaky stairs. The creaky noise has disturbed some guests on evening while they are trying to sleep.
negative:
No lift.
There is no lift in St John’s Lodge. While not an issue for most guests, some have reported they had a bit of trouble getting up the old staircase, so this hotel might not suit those with mobility problems.
negative:
Car parking can be in short supply.
St John’s Lodge provides free private car parking, which is great, but it is limited in number and so some guests have had trouble finding a space. This has meant they have instead had to try and find an on-street space nearby.
