Positive Reviews
positive:
Very pet friendly
A number of guests who had their best friend in tow were delighted with how pet friendly, or rather dog friendly, the guest house was. They certainly didn't feel that they were merely being tolerated, but that the owners really put a lot of thought and care into how they could best accommodate dogs and their owners. Guests even mentioned that their dogs received a welcome pack, including chew toy, on arrival.
positive:
Terrific breakfast
Guests were clearly very impressed with the breakfast they received every morning. It seems that there was a good choice of options, from the standard English to more exotic varieties, like Kippers for example, that guests most appreciated. It was also mentioned that breakfast was taken at a communal dining table, leading to many interesting chats with fellow guests.
positive:
Wonderful location in all respects
Guests really liked the location of the guest house, with several reasons usually given for this, rather than just one. Firstly, they mentioned that, being just a short way off the A66, it was exceptionally easy to find, with or without SatNav. Secondly, they said that it was far enough from the road, and more importantly far enough from Keswick itself, to have a lovely peaceful country feel about it. Thirdly, they felt it was in a good strategic spot when it came to setting out on that trail or bike ride to really explore the Lake District.
