Amazing food at the restaurant
With very few exceptions, guests are bowled over by the food at the restaurant. Breakfast is described as being true to the English tradition, and other meals as a successful modern take on classic country fare.
Easington house is a lovingly restored 15th century farmhouse offering the very best of country life, with just enough style and sophistication. Rooms are individually decorated, and despite the history of the building feature modern amenities such as flat screen TV’s, hospitality trays and in room Wi-Fi. The character filled interior offers numerous fireplaces, lovely exposed beams. There is also free parking on the grounds. Priding itself on its English heritage, Easington Guest House serves full English breakfast and a delicious afternoon tea. The licensed restaurant serves creative country fare, and tries to source meat, poultry and produce locally wherever possible. Easington Guest House is just on the edge of Banbury, and attractions in the village are all within walking distance. Further afield, Bicester Village is 15 miles to the south, while the dreaming spires of Oxford are 23 miles away.

There seems to be a contrast of opinions. Guests who stayed in renovated rooms have nothing but praise for the décor and atmosphere, while those in the older rooms describe them as “a bit tired”. Renovations were still ongoing in November 2015, and it's unclear whether all rooms have been renovated. It is best to check directly with the hotel.
Guests mention that, despite being on the edge of town, it's an easy walk into the centre from the hotel - convenient for those who need to do a bit of shopping, or who would like to try a different restaurant.
Unfortunately Easington House in right on a busy road, which tends to detract from the lovely building and gardens. Guests also mention that the noise from passing cars is noticeable at night, and also that actually accessing the property is tricky because of the busy road.
It seems the rooms at Easington House do vary quite a bit in size - perhaps as a result of its age. While some guests are surprised by the large size of their rooms, a significant minority complain that their room was just too small, and that it made moving around quite awkward.
A couple of guests mention that the floorboards on the first floor hallway creak as you move over them. This wasn't terribly loud, but did nonetheless disturb them a little.
