    Positive Reviews

    positive:

    Bright, spacious rooms

The pub attached to this B&B may well date from the 18th century, but guests were very pleased to find that the rooms at this property were bright, spacious and thoroughly modern. The skylights were an especially nice touch, giving rooms an airy, open feel.

    positive:

    Convenient for Kenmare and more

A number of guests were happy to find that this property is located right in the heart of central Kenmare, putting it in range of a number of the town's sites, shops and restaurants. Those hoping to explore the region's major attractions - specifically the Ring of Kerry and the Ring of Beara - were in luck as the town of Kenmare is in fact located on both. This only helped to cement this B&B's popularity with guests.

    positive:

    Friendly service and good food

This property is recognised by guests - many of whom are returning visitors - for its consistently fast and friendly service. Whether reception or bar staff, all members of the team here do their bit to offer assistance. Additionally, a number of guests were impressed by the restaurant's evening menu, especially the seafood options.

    Negative Reviews

    negative:

Frigid rooms, no tea and coffee

Breathtakingly cold rooms have been an issue at this hotel for quite some time. Despite guests consistently voicing their concerns, this appears to be an on-going problem. Additionally, many felt that a kettle and tea and coffee facilities here would be much appreciated; this amenity, some felt, would at least help to keep guests warm in the face of frigid room temperatures.

    negative:

    Limited parking

While this B&B does offer a free car park, some found that parking was at a premium, especially during peak times.

    negative:

    Breakfast consistency

Finally, while many found the dinner offerings to be excellent, the quality of breakfast was noted to be inconsistent.
