Situated in the trendy St, Sauveur area, about 30 minutes’ walk from the Old Town, La Victorienne Urbaine is a cosy B&B offering simple home style accommodation and true personalised hospitality. Each of the three rooms is individually decorated and furnished, and features all the modern conveniences you’ll require, from cable TV to free Wi-Fi. There is a small lounge area at La Victorienne Urbaine for guests to relax and socialise, while motorists will find plenty of onsite parking available. A hearty breakfast is served in the homely kitchen/dining area each morning. Those looking to cook up a storm are welcome to use the kitchen to prepare the other two meals if they wish. Of course the main attraction is the Old Town, with everything from La Citadelle to the Plains of Abraham, but guests will likely also enjoy the neighbouring St. Roch area, which is known for its charming shops and great cafes.
Guests had nothing but good things to say about the B&B's host, Elisabeth. She was described as being exceptionally friendly and welcoming. But more than this, guests indicated that she was very caring, always making every effort to ensure that her guests always had all the information they needed to make the most out of their often too brief holiday.
Guests simply couldn't stop raving about the breakfast. Some were a bit coy, not wanting to spoil the surprise for any other guests, so didn't reveal much; but almost all guests said that the breakfast was of an exceptional quality, with the word “gourmet” used many times.
Quite a number of guests remarked that both their rooms and the public areas of the B&B were kept spotlessly clean throughout their stay, with not a complaint in this area to be found anywhere.
A number of guests pointed out that the B&B is quite a way from the Old Town. While it is walkable, it was said to be quite a long walk. There were also public buses that could transport guests there, but of course this was not to everyone's liking. Some would perhaps have preferred to be in the heart of the Old Town instead.
A few guests highlighted the fact that the house has some steep stairs, so that those with mobility issues would have to think carefully before committing to one of the upstairs rooms.
Guests mentioned that they could hear a bit of external noise in their rooms. The main culprits seemed to be the cars passing by on the street outside and a nearby nightclub.
