The Boardwalk Beach Resort Condominiums overlook the Gulf of Mexico. The condos have 22 floors and offer a tropical pool deck. All the rooms are non-smoking. There is a choice of one to three bedrooms. All feature ceiling fans, coffee makers, refrigerators, microwaves, balconies and cable television. There are high-speed elevators within the building. Access is through security gates and there is a covered parking area for cars. Guests can also avail of the sauna, steam room and activity center. Reception is open 24 hours a day. The Boardwalk Beach Resort Condominium has an onsite restaurant, Under the Boardwalk Bar and Grill. There is also an ice cream vendor on site and a bar. The Signal Hill Country Club and Golf Course are a ten-minute walk from the property. Ripley’s Believe It or Not and Falls Family Recreation Center are both a 15-minutes walk away.
The hotel is in a fantastic location for those who want to get to the beautiful and quiet beach. The beach and ocean are just a few steps away. The pool within the complex is also really lovely and a great place to relax in or around. At times there is a DJ playing music at the pool area. There are also two hot tubs.
There is good security here with a covered parking area, so guests feel safe leaving their cars in the cool shade and walking to nearby amenities. These include the choice of several restaurants in the locality. The beach is really beautiful and guests have private beach access.
Apart from the DJ by the pool area there are other enjoyable and fun activities on offer such as hula hoop contests and hermit crab races. There is a nightclub just two doors down from the accommodation.
The high-speed elevators are much appreciated by guests as there is no long waiting time down in the parking lot or anywhere else in the building. However, some with rooms near to the elevators found that there was a lot of noise from other guests entering and exiting the elevators during the day and late at night.
The interiors are rather worn and shabby. Some found that the floors and walls are the worse for wear with stains, chips and dirt marks from previous guests.
This isn't an ultra-luxury place to stay, more of a no-frills holiday accommodation. Some though that the price was too high considering the interiors aren't kept in tip top condition. There are also extras to be paid for such as beach chairs and other extras.
