Positive Reviews
positive:
Friendly and professional staff
It was rare to read a review that did not praise the staff. Even guests who had other issues invariably said that the staff were excellent. They were described as exceptionally friendly, with the sort of customer service orientation that always put the customer first.
positive:
Quiet and tranquil atmosphere
Many guests remarked that the atmosphere at the hotel was very tranquil. It is some way out of the centre, so does not get much by way of traffic noise. It also does not seem to attract inconsiderate and noisy guests.
positive:
Free shuttles
Many guests were very pleased with the free shuttles available at the hotel. They mentioned that the hotel laid on tuk-tuks that could not only take them to and from central Siem Riep, but even out to the airport if required.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Too far out for some
The hotel is not quite in the centre of Siem Riep, but just a little outside. Some guests took this in their stride, but others were not as happy. They would clearly have preferred to be right in the very centre with everything being within a stone's throw.
negative:
Shower causes localised flooding
Guests reported that, due to the design of the showers and bathrooms, taking a shower invariably meant that the whole bathroom floor became flooded. Some found this to be a bit annoying, since they then had to wait for the water to drain before really being able to use the room again.
negative:
Lot of insects and reptiles
While some guests conceded that it was perhaps to be expected, since they were quite literally on the edge of the jungle, many reported that their rooms harboured an incredible array of insects and reptiles. It seems they felt more should be done to try to control these.
